Musk Ox safari in Dovrefjell

Dovre & Lesja Aktiv offer musk ox safari in Dovrefjell National Park, every single day!

There is high probability of seeing muskox, and there are also opportunities to see grouse, plover, birds of prey and also a small chance of wild reindeer. The trip is small / medium demanding and can be recommended for children and adults from 6 years and up. The muskox habitat on Dovrefjell is over 400 km2. About 250 muskox therefore have a huge area to walk on. For this reason, it is difficult to determine in advance how demanding the trip will be.

The safari starts from Frichs’ Motell & Spiseri Hjerkinn at 10 am daily between June 1th - September 30th. Between October 1th and May 31th, we offer private tours on request.
